In my opinion, the biggest difference between CN & US companys should be the company culture.
Economic principle is always the same.
However, in China Market, some elements of success may be the key:
Speed.
There are tooo much clever potential competitors on China’s land. Copy is always the most difficult challenge here. You need always step ahead those un-visible people, However, you may only be able to step ahead just half step. 
Team.
I’m looking and wondering if that small team wins at last would be possible in China. Most success here lies not so much as in high efficiency as in big company size. IT could be a high marginal profit industry. Look at that, Almost all the IT companys here are based on and developing towards to a low marginal profit & limitless size of companys.
Insight.
Cost advantage is going away from China. However, genius & professional skills of people are becoming the new advantages of China.
Patience.
Need no more explanation. Just a necessary factor, especially in China now.
